This is a coaster for one of my work mates. She said she has everything Marmite, cookbooks, the mug, a bag and so on, so I took this as a challenge and made her another Marmite thing. I too love Marmite and could not resist sewing one for myself while I eat Marmite on toast!
Marmite is a spread they sell in the UK (not sure exactly where else) their adverts say 'You either Love it or Hate it!' because of the way that some people think its the most vile foodstuff ever or people who really like it. I am serious when I say some people like it so much they drink it or add it into all of their food. I can't really describe the taste there's nothing else quite like it. It is quite salty, thick and brown.
