So, I may be into Ratchet again, and decided to do a rather drastic redesign of my character, Xennah x3
After seeing the amazing Lombax character design concept art from Rift Apart, I felt inspired to redesign Xennah to look more unique, and share some of the colours and features of the characters shown in the concept art pieces~ :3
Her story has also been changed, and her bio is also more detailed now, as a result x3
New Bio:
Name: Xennah Verzari (Alias: 'Nyala Vex')
POB/DOB: Planet Fastoon/14th Mayjune, 5348
Family/Friends: Ratchet (husband), Nyxon (son), Isabelle (best friend), Clank (friend)
Story: As a baby, Xennah was sent, along with Ratchet, to another planet from Fastoon, in order to be protected from Tachyon and his forces. She was taken in and raised by a Markazian couple, due to being an orphan, and it was during this time that she enjoyed going out for nature walks, with her adoptive parents, and often picked up any items of interest along the way.
During her teenage years, Xennah was unfortunate enough to be on the run, after, accidentally, collecting an item which had already been claimed by someone else. Because of this, Xennah had to change her name and appearance, and so, used a Disguise-A-Tron whenever she was outdoors, disguising her as a Markazian, as well as giving herself the alias of 'Nyala Vex'.
It was also during this time that Xennah came across a journal whilst searching for artifacts on Planet Fastoon, which details information about another lombax, who was a baby around the same time as her. After this, Xennah just so happened to watch a TV show in which said lombax was in. She immediately set off to find him, and when she found him, she revealed herself as a Lombax and the two hit it off and became close friends over time.
Appearance: Originally born with golden fur, Xennah had inherited her birth parents' fur colours, however, during a mission on Planet Quasar, she came across a piece of a Phase Quartz crystal, and it soon became unstable and caused a reaction which permanently stained both her fur and hair to a dark gold/red hue (thankfully though, this reaction was not radioactive!)
Attire: Xennah typically wears her combat armor and boots whenever she is travelling around, but will also bring her backpack along, in case she spots any unique items. Due to her wavy hair being a bit of a nuisance for her, Xennah will also typically wear a bandana, in order to keep it out of her face. In terms of gloves, Xennah prefers the fingerless variety, so that she is able to feel the textures of items that she collects, and so that her claws are on show, to scare off any potential enemies. She will also never be seen without a Plasma Whip or Arc Lasher in her hand, or in her backpack!
Personality: Xennah is a relatively shy lombax who enjoys hanging out with Isabelle, Ratchet and Clank, as well as searching planets for artefacts, as a hobby.
Occupation: Archeologist (as a personal hobby) and Researcher (for the Galactic Rangers)
Abilities: In any fighting scenario, Xennah always opts for using long-ranged weapons; her favourites being both the Arc Lasher and Plasma Whip. However, as well as her proficient use of her long-ranged weapons, Xennah has also been trained, as a Galactic Ranger, in physical combat, and as such, is very agile and prefers a more defensive approach when it comes to fighting, choosing only to attack if provoked.
Interest/s: Since she was a child, Xennah had always been interested in collecting artifacts, and strange-looking objects, and would expand her knowledge on said objects as she aged. As an adult, Xennah now mainly searches for unique flora and fauna, for researching, as well as any valuable items and rare oddities. As well as this, Xennah is also somewhat of a tech-wiz, who often uses her hacking abilities to spy on what her enemies are planning.
Strengths: Archeology, physical combat, and hacking into enemy devices
Weaknesses: Physics (often asks Isabelle for help with it), easily distracted (particularly by Ratchet's cuteness, naturally!), and her own personal appearance (after her new fur colour emerged)
Fears: Claustrophobia (as witnessed by Ratchet, during one of their first missions together)
Likes: Ratchet, Clank, Isabelle, Rivet, the Galactic Rangers (including Helga, Skidd, Skrunch, Sasha etc), gaming, hacking, and finding rare items
Dislikes: Qwark, Nefarious, being confined in small spaces
