Alright, so for this piece, a bit of story will need to be provided here. =3
So, throughout the year, Gazongas' Bar & Grill will typically host a themed event at least once a month, that'll usually last anywhere from a few days to an entire week, depending on the theme and/or popularity of the event. As to why they do such themed events, it's mostly done as a means to attract new customers to the restaurant, as well as to give the staff the opportunity to play around with various costumes.
Now, the themes themselves are usually chosen by a random staff member, and can be pretty much anything that a staffer puts into the suggestion bin (within reason, of course); with many of the suggestions being usually either an entire genre (like "sci-fi/fantasy"), or something more specific (like a "pajama party").
In this case though, this week's theme turned out to be "Alice in Wonderland" (an idea that was actually recommended by Bonnie and randomly picked by Gina), and while Gazongas' Bar & Grill does provide costumes and other materials for events like this, the staff are encouraged to bring their own costumes and such for the events, if they so choose.
Such is the case with Gina, who opted to provide her own Alice costume for the event, and has discovered that it might not be the kind of Alice that everyone expected her to dress up as; though all things considered, she seems to have done better than Millie, who appears to have gotten confused on which type of cat you'd typically find in a Wonderland story. =p
Regardless though, I hope you all enjoy the costume chicanery, as well as the staff's shenanigans. =3

Okay, so the basic idea here is that for this piece, while Gina is dressed up as a version of Alice from Alice in Wonderland, she's actually dressed up as the American Mcgee's version of Alice, which is an action-adventure game with horror elements that you can read more about here ( link ), and not the Alice of the original story.
So I guess the joke is that while Bonnie expected Gina to dress up as a more "family-friendly" version of Alice, Gina instead opted in for the version from a popular action-horror game from the early 2000's.
Anyway, I hope that better explains things, and that you still enjoy the piece. =3
