Pawn is running a new D&D campaign! I was a little stumped on making a character, knowing only that I'd wanted to try a race I hadn't yet. Then I realized I have an entire fucking stew of characters that I could species-swap to meet whatever purpose I needed, so I chose to remake Hex as my gunslinger thunder genasi. In order to keep things straight in my head, and the heads of those who are familiar with Hex, this version goes by Annie.
Unlike Red, who is a more traditional gunslinger, Annie uses gun-ko, a form of melee combat that boils down to "I beat you to a pulp with my gun and then I shoot you." Also unlike Red, Annie doesn't build her own firearms. She has gainful employ as a courrier, using her airship (it's very small - more like the size of a mail truck meant for no more than her) to bring mail to nearby towns, villages and cities. She's the daughter of a magma genasi and a lightning genasi, so her skin is glossy and black like obsidian. Cracks have formed in it, revealing little rivulets of glowing electricity. Annie is also in a very loving relationship with her girlfriend, a lightning genasi named Dothy.
