Is said to be cannon that Tails has an IQ of 300. Is why in the Sonic anime movie, Tails was able to use some wrist watch tracking device, given to him by Egg Man, to override and shortly disable Hyper Metal Sonic, one of Egg Man's greatest creations. Yet is still just a kid. Boy-Genus is a gross understatement.
True, in most cases, his vast intelligence of observation, mechanical, and electronic tech skills is hardly covered, even in cannon stories, cartoons, and games. He is mostly shown to be an average kid overall, with some higher than normal tech skills. Will admit, wile not seeing much of it at all, seems much of Tails's intelligence is indeed shown on Sonic X.
Would be interesting though, to see if Tails, tuns the tails on this cheater, and makes Charmy his bitch in the end instead. As is likely the plan Charmy has for Tails.
