During the hottest days of summer vacation, this is the preferred haunt for the cubs from the local trailer park. It's nothing fancy, but more than enough when your only other option for beating the heat is a water hose or box fan.
Among the older tweens and teens, it's the place to see and be seen. The girls regularly avoid the water altogether, opting instead to temptingly sun themselves in their most revealing swimsuits. The boys naturally appreciate this ritual, regularly stealing glances at those tempting beauties.
For those that don't care for the parade of vanity, the far corner of the pool serves as a fine refuge. Ash can often be found there, relaxing on the edge when she isn't sneaking in laps across the deep end. Lately, Lynde has been taking advantage of this habit, hanging out in the cool water as she tries to make time with the elusive raccoon girl.
That sounds like such a great way to beat the heat, and I'd definitely be right there in the corner with Ash and the other kits who don't care so much for vanity. They'd be much better company, and I'd be willing to bet they're all way cuter, anyway. Clearly Lynde would agree with this, and she couldn't have picked a cuter girl to flirt with, either. Though all three of them are super cute! It's a lovely image and a fun story, and I do enjoy these little glimpses into Ash's world.
