Even the idea of a field trip gets some patrons to the Play Palace going! On the way there, a certain predicament that isn't so much of a problem becomes--Well, it's like the song that was playing, "A little got more and mo-o-ooore."
This was a story I spun out into a sketchbook relatively quickly, about a place I'd really enjoy showing off more. It's called "Charlie Capybara's Play Palace" (original commission/concept by https://bsky.app/profile/fourtyfortune.bsky.social), a peculiar place for younger patrons to enjoy themselves that just felt a certain, indescribably charming way...It was around for quite a few years and then that was that, but over the years there's many common threads that tie former patrons together in the vivid memories of the place.
