Not entirely surprising, considering that mono & stereo versions of albums were often mixed differently, at that time.... And one of the few albums that had both mono, stereo and quad versions, all mixed differently, was Sly & The Family Stone's Greatest Hits.... (I have all three! The quad SACD has the mono mix on the stereo layer, while the regular CD is stereo...)
