A new character I've made for a new D&D campaign hosted by Eldritch-Shambler, set in a homebrew universe heavily inspired by Spelljammer: The Shoal of Worlds

Chief Petty Officer Gearalt Bolton was a sailor once. Having enlisted into the Concord Of Enterprise as soon as he came of age, Gearalt steadily rose through the ranks to become boatswain. Generally considered to be pretty clever, capable and a pleasant fellow, however, he was never afraid to get into a scrap if the honour of his friends, colleagues or captain was being challenged and could handle himself well in one.
He found himself serving on The Gavel, under Captain Archibald Johnathan Michiel Veldroos of the Concord anti-piracy fleet, until one day his vessel got slaugthered by the fearsome Z’dûn, The Blind Carnifex. Gearalt went down fighting, but in the end he went down....
Until he woke up in an abandoned laboratory with his brain transplanted in a strange artificial body and he discovered whatever magic or mechanic was bonding his brain to his new body was enabling some psionic powers.
He is grateful for this new lease on life, and the extraordinary abilities his new body gives him, but after having been recovered by a exploratory vessel of the Eldritch Institutes For Mystical Insight and recovering in their facilities, he left with one task on his mind.
