Old high school friend of mine wanted some art together after all these years. so I decided on fond memories of me beating an upper classman at children's card games. I was such a smug bastard. School for Stephan just like me was always a safe space away from his parents. Being around friends and literally anyone else really helped bring out his smile and personality. To think I still wear the same outfit I wore in high school today >.<
I'm not much of a collectable card gamer, alas. I do find them interesting, but I've never really stuck with one and I'm not very social irl. ^.^;;
I'm also a lot older! I'm 40 now, so the first CCG came out when I was young. Magic: The Gathering is still going on, and somehow still the gold standard. Before that, we mostly just played with marbles. (yes really)
Apart from that, I've mostly tried digital card games, and my roomie and I gave the new Digimon card game a try, though we only ever played a few rounds of it together.
I've watched quite a few Card Game Animes, but usually don't play the games themselves. They're never played the way they show them in the animes, you know? XD
