Hailing from the planet Caminus in a far away star system, I present to you the Kurra. These guys are heat loving pseudo-reptilians with a love for the mountains, even if they've largely inhabited their planet's plains after building cities. And when I say heat loving, I mean it. They can only survive around temperatures of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite the heat of their homeworld though, these fellas are industrious. They've figured out how to slip the bounds of their homeworld and trek into space, so if you see a glowing-hot ship on thermals, it might not be a glitch, just the Kurra.

I don't have much in the way of lore at the moment, but I've been sitting on these guys for a while now, so I figured I'd get my butt in gear and actually send them out into the world. I've got a fact sheet typed up for them, but it's in need of some editing and reworking. As soon as that's done, I'll get it uploaded. That said, the Kurra is an open species. If you want to stick to lore/canon to make and represent one, feel free to ask me questions about them. However, don't feel constricted by "canon" if you don't want to. I'm not going to police how people make up their Kurra. Just make sure you credit me as the species creator. That's the one hard rule.

Just a little creation lore tidbit before I go though: Most people don't know this about me, but I've always wanted to be a scientist. When I was still in college my plan was to study xenobiology. I wanted to figure out just how life could work under different conditions. While college has yet to work out so far, that desire is still with me. I started the Kurra with a concept: what kind of species could be silicon-based and breath sulfur, and some of the conclusions lead me here. As said, I'll post more details later but one last thing: the prefered drink of Kurra is liquid sodium acetate, the stuff used to give salt-and-vinegar chips their flavor.

As is the usual, these sheets of my new babies has been made by lobadelaluna.
