When you said CT I had thought you were referring to the comic Cold Storm. Only now that I'm rested and it's a new day do I realize that by CT you were referring to the artist, ColdBloodedTwilight.

i think shes more a sucubus then a vampire, she feeds on the spirtual energy of her partners rather then there life force, and does so thru sex, though in her case its not to extend her life or feed some feral hunger i think its to stabalize her own magic feild...i think this twilight when her surge happend it broke her soul spring, her well of mana cracked it, now the mana leaks out constantly causing her pain, to shore it up she uses the mana of others...while in canterlot likely celesta provided for this thru some spell or magic but out in the feild twilight has to hold herself back and seek out particularly strong indaviduals to feed off who can endure her draining them without harm.
