Long ago, the elves of the world of Baphis ruled over all from their floating kingdom using a special power, the likes of which allowed them to create new life in the form of the beastkin, sentient beasts that could speak and work like the humans, for whom they bred into being. For centuries, the elves did as they pleased with both humans and beastkin alike, however, hubris saw their civilization come to an end, when then beastkin rose up against them, using the very power that allowed the elves to gain their prominence.
A millennia and a half have passed, and the beastkin and humans, despite their shared history, are now at war with one another, as the humans seek to try and claim what is seen as a birthright to them, in the form of now extinct elven technology. For one army medic, this puts him in the crosshairs of the ongoing conflict...
