I decided to share upon you all my first composition, now in all its untouched and cringy glory.
I have NO idea where this came from, how it manifested, or what the hell I was attempting to do, but all I remember is back in the day I toyed around with Finale Notepad and wanted to make pieces I would play in band class back in the day.
It hasn't seen the light of day till now and it's amazing how far I've come. Although, hearing this and how I keep crafting musical compositions, I have a weird hyper-fixated ear on melody and, at the very least, rhythmic counterpoint. Harmony and everything else be fucked up in this bitch.
So yeah, enjoy or don't, I'm not expecting any great hits from this piece anyhow.
It is not bad. Reminds me of early RPGs, like Ultima. It is absolutely not cringe. Unless you are talking about the quality of the instruments, though I don't see it as a problem (I personally like instruments that are sampled, rather than fully synthesized, even though I use both). I like the melody and the pause you stuck in, between the first section and the second. In fact, the pauses in general are well-put. The choice of instruments is really nice.
