Takoda desperately needed a new reference. I used this opportunity to try and improve my art, albeit with limited effort. I watched a video on how to draw arms and legs, as well as another on how to properly draw muzzles. I also used pictures of a much more talented artist who draws anthro dragon babs as reference too. The legs mostly turned out fine, but the arms and hands still look terrible. I’m also not too excited about the eyes or muzzle.
Takoda is probably my favorite OC aside from Leon, Parker and Nixie. Needless to say, even she still feels “Hollow” compared to them. Whenever I want to commission a picture from someone, I rarely use my own OCs and instead use characters from Media or my friend’s OCs with their consent, as they all feel more fun to come up with ideas for.
Could this be a result of my depression? Or do I simply need to try harder to form an emotional bond with these pictures I call characters? Like with my Novel (which I’ve sadly abandoned since I feel I’m not “Professional Writer” material), I seem to have forgotten how I made those bonds in the first place. Kinda makes me wish I was younger, when I had so much determination. Now I’m basically a husk.
Anyway, for those who don’t know, Takoda is a 16 year old writer of Native American descent who was regressed to 2 years old and can sometimes shift between her ages and she frequently wears diapers even when she isn’t a baby. Hopefully she doesn’t have the same writing problems I have.
