A young Khajiit adventurer, although not very experienced, had taken the job to locate fugitives who recently escaped from Bravil's prison. The job would have paid him well and sufficient to get himself more gear.
After scouting the forest surrounding Bravil for hours, the tracks he pursued led him to a cave. The Bloodmayne Cave, according to the locals. As he entered it, he immediately noticed the little camp in the large room. As this camp site seemed very recent considering the campfire, albeit extinguished, was still warm, he thought to be in the right path. He continued his cave exploration by going to the nearby corridor, which lead him to was seems to be a dead end. It was a much smaller room compared to the previous one, but there was no new paths. Upon further inspection, he have noticed there was an hidden door and a few suspended ropes.
As he inspected them, he thought these served a function and perhaps linked to a mechanism that would allow him to open that door. As he couldn't determine which one would do it, he then proceed with pulling one of them.
Of course, it had to be the wrong one to pull.
The moment he pulled the rope, gaz were released in the room. As it was really potent, it only took a few seconds for him to feel dizzy and being knocked cold. A few moments later, the hidden door opened and one of the fugitive came out to inspect who triggered the trap. Although there was still gaz in the room, he was unaffected considering he's an Argonian.
"Another poof fool", he said, with a smile.
He then checked on the Khajiit, confirming he was still alive, but unresponsive. After resetting the trap, he grabbed the body then dragged him through the hidden corridor and closed the door behind him.
"Let's see what you have", he said while laughing.
It is unknown what happened to that Khajiit since no one ever saw him again. The guild who posted that job, however, eventually decided to put a minimum requirement for anyone accepting the job.
