I had a lot of fun designing this. Inspired by a lot of random sources, tbh. Somewhere between EVE's Gallente race, artStation concept art, and my brain I guess.

From the implications, the pilot is in a direct (likely buffered) link to the fighter, likely interpreting motion as flight control / attitude control in addition to any manual input on the controls, while simultaneously providing the pilot with a sensory feed to give better spatial awareness of the craft and its' surrounding battlespace. All this while doubling as a lightly-armored, puncture-resistant pressure garment and g-suit.
