You gaze upon the door to this new establishment, a single pristine glass door with black frame, the name and purpose of this new business written on it in elegant yet readable handwriting, beneath a simplistic lotus. "Nuova-Vita: alternative luxury spa". You had only heard of this place from a friend that experienced it and had some positive remarks.

"Amazing, you must try it out," "Wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I loved it!" "You enjoy that spa stuff right? Because this will surprise you," Was their words, it was true that you were a fan of massages, saunas and the such; but you weren't sure what you were expecting here, all thanks to one word: 'Alternative' What did that mean? Was it relating to alternative medicine practices, or did they have unique practices? Your questions wouldn't be answered by just standing in front of the spa. Gulping down that doubt, you push open the door.

The inside was compact and clean, a simple lounge for those awaiting appointments to pass the time in comfort. long leather couches on both sides, a coffee table in the middle with several magazines and pamphlets showing the services they do upon it, in the corner stood a water cooler, the contents infused with several fruits. You sit down on the sofa to the right, gazing at the off-tone white walls and ocean blue carpeted floors. You pick up the pamphlet ponder what you’ll get, the names of the services were unique yet common at the same time.

‘Reinvigorating Massage’ Sounded normal, but ‘Reiki of Reincarnation’, ‘Infused Stone Massage’ and ‘Draconic Facial’ were quite unique and out there.

“Hello there” A voice drew your attention away from the slip of paper and seeing the source of that soft, therapeutic voice which put you at ease.

You could tell they were feline in appearance, their sandy brown fur and fluffy tuft at the end of their tail made it clear they were a lion. However you couldn’t tell their gender, the reddish-brown mane was masculine, but the rest of their features were much more feminine in nature, with their smooth face, sapphire eyes and prominent eyelashes. They wore a white blouse with a teal stripe down the middle, beneath some simple bottoms of the same white color and a set of teal flip-flops.

“I heard you come in,” Their tail swaying from side to side whilst watching you stare at them with confusion

“Ah, I did hear that anthros, as some folks call them, are rare around here, I take it you’re surprised to see me here then?”

You nod looking, watching them smile and emit a soft giggle, they could tell you weren’t worried about them being animalistic.

“Well then, allow me to introduce myself,” the lion gestured to themself.

“Welcome to Nuova-Vita, my name’s Alovaira, how may I be of service?”
