Redraw of an old picture from a year ago. Supposedly, it was just gonna be few retouches on the coloring mostly but turned into a whole redraw just to make a cherry-blossom themed pic.

IDK. Both have something.

At first sight, the old one looks more detailed.

Compared with the old one, the new one gives the impression that it is drawn -pardon my bluntness- "with shortcuts and tricks" due the colour overlay and lighting for example.

However, the pose in the new one looks more natural and anatomic correct.

Since both pictures differ quite a lot (props, face expression and scenery) it's a bit hard to compare >~<"

I've been studying how lighting works lately. Especially straight up copying a coloring style just because it looks pretty without knowing how lighting/shadow works made some of my pieces look weird especially the old pic.
