A drawing based on a scene from the 1992 video game production "Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure" that I have evidently thought about too much.

Clearly an artist needed a sandwich when producing this submission.

I was in fact at a Popeye's location roundabout the period when I was drawing this, but I generally order the regular non-sandwich chicken!  Except in unusual circumstances that is much more cost-effective.

I must also congratulate you for your unprecedented choice in keywords: fortressofsolitude indeed!

The ice went through a few different stages; Initially I was trying to honor the original level's background, next trying to "enhance" it without bothering to look up real ice, then I looked up real ice, then it struck me that the original background was probably inspired by the Fortress of Solitude from the 1970s-80s Superman films, so it seemed valid to acknowledge with my description.  After that I looked at not-necessarily-ice crystal-filled caves, but that is too many words to cram together!

appropos of nothing really, but speaking of crystal caves, did you ever hear of fantastic crystal cave in Mexico?
