My sister wanted to gift me a cake for my graduation ceremony, she asked me to draw my Sona with the same outfit I'd wear that day. I had this pose in mind for a while, I wanted to draw something that represented my feelings about graduating, all the struggles I've been throughout the degree and every drawback that I always managed to overcome.
Sure living only from making art commissions for other people has taken a toll on my mental health, some unfortunate events from past year also tried to deviate me from my set goal, which was finish my Design degree, finishing what I had started back in 2012 before my Depression threw me into an endless pit of nothingness.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE drawing for you, making things that I enjoy and making sure every each of you is happy with what they get, I try my very best and always looking new ways to improve and become a better artist and a better person.
I know I have been lacking activity and updates, I have some of your pending commissions, some more elaborate than others, and I keep delaying them because I can't handle too many things at once, I'm very sorry I shouldn't be trying to do more than what I can handle, but as some of you may know University is my priority, I have a bunch of projects all getting too full of stuff to design, draw, record, edit and you know the drill, the life of a designer or an artist is a very busy one, and if you don't take some time to rest your head it might lead to a burn out which it did for me back in early February, but I got back on my feet, keep reminding myself everyday of my duties as a freelance and trying to do some things, give my clients updates whenever I see I can.
I'm just opening up a bit, about what has been going through my mind and hopefully it won't make you think that i'm being avoidant or just ghosting for no reason, I just ask your understanding, for those waiting on their orders I'll try to make it up to them as they deserve it for all the patience and the support.
Regarding the time I'll be free to work on commissions and make content, I just know that around July University will be over for me, all projects done and I can just focus on my freelancing activity and reaching everyones orders in time, hope you understand ^-^
