The future was in ruins. However, things weren’t all bad. How could they be when the world had a powerful, stand up guy like Silver the Hedgehog?

In-between his round trips from the past back to whatever’s been altered of his future, he makes time to help out the community in whatever way he can. He’s lucky that he manages to maintain some semblance of a normal life whenever he comes home. Things around him may change but people still remember him. Either time is being generous to him or he just keeps getting lucky.

Either way, far be it for him to keep the good will to himself. The future needed more people who could stand up and be heroes for the greater good of us all. He didn’t often toot his own horn but he liked to imagine he could be the best and brightest example of that. After all, people told him all the time how impressed they were of the exploits and stories he would tell of his adventures in the past with Sonic and friends. He just couldn’t keep this knowledge to himself, now could he?

That’s why Silver was here today, inside of a daycare center, giving a nice little presentation to the kids in a semicircle on the carpet. The caretaker in charge allowed him to put on a nice little show for them. It wasn’t much. He was just standing there and telling what were essentially bedtime stories to kids who were about to be picked up by their parents.

The atmosphere of the story he told involving the war against Eggman was well juxtaposed with the oncoming thundering storm raging outside. The kids didn’t seem scared, even when it seemed like Silver was trying to scare them by wiggling his fingers and sticking a flashlight under his chin. It made no sense for him to do that when all the lights were on inside, so he ended up getting a small chorus of giggles instead of gasps. He relished in the attention anyway so it didn’t matter.

One by one, the kids were picked up by their parents as Silver stood and answered all their questions. This was until finally, only one lad was left. He was a small blue bunny, looking up at Silver with his hands behind his back and rocking on his heels like he was shy or something.

Silver thought this was cute. He bent down to face the kid as the caretaker took the last remaining kid off to have a chat with their parents about how good they were today.

“Anything about my story you have any questions about?” Silver asked the small boy.

“Uhm… y-yeah, I do…” The blue kid looked up at him, a finger to his lips.

“Well, fire away uhm–” Silver stopped and tilted his head to the left a bit, beckoning for some kind of a name.
“Brett,” The boy said. “Brett the Bunny.”

“Brett the Bunny,” Silver nodded. “Well, it’s good to speak with you Brett. Please, tell me, what is it you have any inquiries about? Do you want to know more about what it takes to be a dashing and daring hero? Someone who charges into the heat of battle and saves the needy and the less fortunate?”

“No,” Brett shook his head. “Can I have your shirt?”

Silver blinked. That was an odd request. Then again, this was a daycare age child so that was probably something he should have expected. Maybe.

“Uh, haha. No,” Silver tugged at his violet colored shirt with a nice star-like pattern on it. “I’m afraid it’s the only one I brought with me today and it’s raining heavily outside.”

“Oh. That’s okay. You can borrow one of the baby shirts here. Or maybe you can just wear a onesie home,” Brett suggested, holding his finger up and poking Silver in the nose. The hedgehog’s eyes crossed to the center of his face when Brett did that.

“Uh… n-no, I’m good,” Silver blushed lightly. “Do you have any other questions?”

“Why does a guy as lame and as dorky as you have such a cool looking shirt?” Brett asked, sounding a bit more perky but with his eyes narrowed this time. He looked… way less wide-eyed and cute and more cocky. Silver wasn’t sure if he was comfortable with the change in Brett’s demeanor. He also wasn’t a fan of the insult.

“Ah-haaa… th-that’s very funny, kid but–” Silver began.

“Brett,” The boy corrected him. “Don’t call me kid. I told you my name.” He sounded like he was giving Silver an order.

“Brett. Sorry.” Silver acquiesced. “But you’re acting a little mean. Maybe you can chill out just a bit.”

“Mean? What do you care if some daycare kid acts mean to you?” Brett asked, a laugh at the edge of his voice. “Aww man. You really don’t deserve that shirt now. Here, let me just–!”

He then reached over and grabbed Silver by the sides, yanking his shirt up and over his head! The white hedgehog gasped and squirmed about in surprise, trying to get Brett to back off but found himself yelping as his head was let free of the garment and he found himself standing there in just his shorts and boots now.

“What the–?!” Silver gasped.

“Hahaha! You just let a “little kid” strip you. What a looooooser.” Brett said with a grin, folding the shirt up and tossing it behind him. He’d collect it with his things when he left later.

“Hey! You are really out of line now! Give that back!” Silver snapped.

“Take it back,” Brett dared, wiggling his fingers at Silver now. “You’re the big, strong hero right? Why can’t you just make me?”

“B-Because I’m not a bully!” Silver growled, blushing a little bit and stomping his foot with his fists clenched.

“You’re just making excuses. Truth is that you’re a-scared of me aren’t you?” Brett smiled.

“What?! No I’m not!” Silver exclaimed as he raised and shook his fist.

“Prove it.” Brett said.

“I don’t HAVE to prove it!” Silver snarled.

Brett reached over and pantsed Silver right then.

“GAH!” The white hedgehog blushed deeper, looking at his shorts around his ankles as well as the Superman briefs that were exposed to the open air now. “Wh-wh-wh-WHAT?!”

Brett held his gut as he laughed and pointed at Silver. “You seriously just LET me do that to you! Also, you’ve got super dorky, baby undies on! You belong in this daycare, not out in the world going on adventures as a so called ‘hero’. Who would want to be saved by you? I’d be embarrassed if that ever happened to me!”

Silver was flabbergasted. He didn’t expect this kid to be so awful!

With his face red from both embarrassment and rage, he reached forward to try and nab the boy.

Brett doubled back and Silver gasped as he tripped over his pants and flopped onto the floor with them around his ankles. “GAH! You little–!”

“Is this the best you can do? Seriously?” Brett said, raising his foot.

“I’m not going to beat on a little ki-MMFH!” Silver grunted when Brett shoved his foot into his face and rummaged all around it.

“Sorry, what was that?” Brett asked, putting a hand to his ear.

“KNOCK IT OFF!” Silver shouted, finally raising his hand and capturing Brett with his powers. He raised the bunny boy above him and leered into his eyes. “I could have done this at any point but I didn’t because, again, I’m not a bully. Not like YOU!”

“A big teenage hero is calling a daycare kid a bully again. So funny,” Brett chuckled, seemingly unfazed by being stuck in Silver’s psychokinesis powers.

“Apologize or else I’ll take it upon myself to use my powers to deliver psychokinetic corporal punishment,” Silver said, narrowing his eyes at Brett.

Brett put his hands behind his head and then blew a raspberry at Silver, getting spit on his face.

Silver growled with anger and raised Brett higher. “Fine! You asked for it!”

“Oh hey! The teacher’s back!” Brett shouted suddenly.

“GAH!” Silver quickly let Brett go. The bunny pushed himself forward a bit while in mid-air and slammed his butt down onto Silver’s back! “BWAAAAAGHUH!”

Silver made a goofy, pained face when Brett crash landed on him.

“Hahaha! You’re so funny,” Brett giggled before standing up and swinging his leg back.

“N-Not funny! If she saw me doing that to you then I–OOF!” Silver winced in pain when Brett kicked him in the back of his head. “GAAAAAH! OWWIEEEEE!” He grabbed himself and flopped about on the floor, whining and crying as pain shot through him.

“Wow. I don’t even think I hit you that hard but okay,” Brett snickered.

Silver found that hard to believe though. That kick REALLY hurt. It was like Brett had steel tucked into the center of his shoe or something.

With teary eyes, Silver got onto his knees and attempted to whip around to face Brett. However, he got his legs grabbed for his troubles and the white hedgehog yelped as his face flopped to the floor yet again.

“Don’t mind me. Just taking these off…” Brett whistled a merry tune as he tugged Silver’s brown shorts all the way off his body this time. He held them out and examined them a bit. “Yup. These look pretty plain but I guess expecting you to have more than one good looking article of clothing on you was a bit much.”

Silver winced and tried to get up.

“Nope! Not yet!” Brett kicked Silver in the butt this time.

“AGH!” Silver whined and flopped back onto the floor. He grabbed his behind and wiggled it about as pain seeped into it again.

What was going on here? Why was this kid so strong?

“I barely hit you again,” Brett said. He then sat down on Silver’s back, making the hedgehog yelp again before he leaned in and whispered into Silver’s ear. “I bet you’re wondering what I’m doing to make all this happen. To tell you the truth, not much.”

“I… huh…?” Silver was confused and really scared now.

“I’m not super strong. Those kicks I keep doing to you are the kicks of a normal daycare kid like the rest of my buddies here,” Brett said. “I’m just really good at intimidation. Your psychokinesis powers are kind of cool but my power gets into your head. It’s like the power of cool musk or something I guess.”

Silver was really confused. Was Brett saying that he was unable to properly do anything about him because he was scared of him? But that wasn’t right. Brett just caught him off guard. What powers was he talking about?

“Now that I’ve got you, you’re gonna be afraid of me forever. Now everytime I hit you it’s gonna feel like you got socked by a brick,” Brett giggled. “That’s just how my fear and intimidation powers work.”

“Th-That’s… not… it can’t…” Silver muttered, unsure of what to say or do. It couldn’t be denied that with each word Brett said, fear struck him more and more. He couldn’t so much as raise a hand against him, much less wrestle him off his back.

Eventually, Silver felt his heart start to beat really fast.

“P-Please… I’m sorry, just–!”

“Nuh-uh. You don’t give me orders!” Brett stood up and then pressed his foot onto Silver’s head, making the poor boy whine and cry. He dropped Silver’s shorts and let them drape over his foot. “You’ve been a really bad boy Silver. You pretended to be a cool hero when you’re really just a nerdy loser in superhero underoos. That deserves a massive WEDGIE!”

He shouted this as he grabbed Silver’s underwear and shot them up his butt with a hefty lift.

“WEDGIEEEEEEEEEEE~!” Silver screamed, feeling his body jitter with intense pain. He went all noodly and flopped there, gasping and panting endlessly. He now really wished the daycare teacher would come back and save him from this monster!

“Heheh,” Brett snickered. “I can smell your fear. I may not be a time traveler but I have a neat fortune. I see some wet undies in your future.”

Silver whined and panicked, tears in his eyes as he felt the pain just reverberate through him. Brett had managed to successfully imprint on him. He was afraid of him. The next time he saw him, he’d pee his pants on the spot.

What was even worse was… Brett was a liar.

He didn’t have any special powers. He had nothing that matched Silver’s psychokinesis. There were no weird intimidation abilities he was using.

He basically just bluffed Silver into fearing him for life using trickery and a cool, confident poker face. That and he had a pretty impressive kick, to be sure. He was no slouch in a fight.

Try as Silver might to stand up to Brett from here on in but that sly face and that swift body of his would end up being his downfall every time going forward.

Silver ended up leaving the daycare that day in nothing but his Superman underoos. He cried his way home in the rain, saying he never wanted to come back to this daycare again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t up to him.

Brett would send Silver little invitations saying that the kids wanted to hear more stories and Silver never wished to disappoint the other tykes. Plus, Silver would always gather up the courage to face Brett once he remembered the tremendous age and experience gap they both had.

That would make it doubly embarrassing whenever he’d lose immediately or try to find a bathroom to clean the inside of his underwear down with a paper towel upon entering the place, seeing Brett, and letting a little bit of scared wetness into said undies.

It was a vicious cycle but one he walked right into and had to deal with forever more.

This was the unbelievable tale of how Silver the Hedgehog met his bully; a daycare kid named Brett the Bunny.
