To keep watch over our minds, in Germany we have these things called "Traumfänger" - "Dream-catcher" - Generally self-made and put up in front of a window they are supposed to scare away bad spirits and seperate the world of the waking from the sleep. They are commonly made from two or more frames seperated by thread or wire with themed ornaments added between. It is nowhere stated they have to be in the same room or country to work... So may it keep reality from mind for you.
