Man, I'm so glad to have made this character, one day I'll have a proper use for him. For now, he'll just be chillaxing with his bro Manik and his gf Sonia. Lol

Her brain has a one-use only neural transfer interface that allowed her to transfer into her new body, but after this, she will be mortal and when her body dies, so will she.
And of course, for the sake of organics and reproduction, her body was given all the functions and the means to have children and live as a real person.
For how they made the organic body, they used the same technology used to create Shadow, as well as something called "programmable matter", allows nanobots (or nanites) to join together and form a structure, as well as change into another material in exchange for it's entire composition, seemingly creating a body from translating computer code into DNA.

Oh believe me, after being a Sonic fan for nearly 18 years and being a TailsXNicole fan for almost 8 years, and being a writer in training, I tend to think about a lot of stuff about Sonic and how I think everything would come together in a story I'm trying to write. I know I'm nowhere near Tolkien's level of worldbuilding, but this is something I'm very passionate about and even if it's not gonna be noticed by most fans, I'm fine with that because I'm having fun with what I've come up with. And also it helps that I'm a novice artist that's always improving with each new picture I make, so it somewhat visualizes what I'm going for. And of course it helps me to be somewhat inspired by things I like and grew up with.
As for that piece of lore I've written, that's only one of two options on how I think it could go. The other option was that Nicole would be ready for a systems and software update that she can achieve by an external power source, being either a Power Ring or a Chaos Emerald, and with that, she can use her nanites even better than before. She has so much control of them, that she can literally create herself a new permanent organic body, using the same progammable matter technique.
And as for the reason why Nicole would rather stick in an organic body where she could die forever? She could easily transfer to a computer after death if she wanted to, but given her character, she would rather die permanently than continue living as a computer program. She wants to be free, and live among other people who were able to have and experience the things she couldn't as a computer. She'd rather die permanently instead of going back to this endless void of nothing, only being brought to life just to serve a purpose. Nicole wants to feel the wind on her face, and touch water. And when she dies, she'll only smile warmly before letting herself go to die, where she will be taken to the afterlife, proving that even machines have souls.
