Jessie Sage had heard that some rather rowdy folks planned to ambush the Angel Falls Express as it reached the forest surrounding the town. They had even set up a camp just inside the forest, just deep enough to avoid being seen until they wanted too, but not deep enough to have to worry about the monsters lurking in it. Well it seems they hadn't expected Jessie "Copperhead" Sage to be with the train, nor did they live long enough to regret their decision to attack the train as she gunned them all down. She does have her reputation as the best gunslinger around to protect after all.
