Basically Brave but instead of copying Brave's homework. Turning Red decided to wipe it right off the Red Panda's ass

*Takes a shit on it and hands it to producers*

Yeah in all honesty I feel they were busy working on Lightyear rather than this. And I fear that too will flounder. PIXAR is falling from grace and Disney is the culprit. They are becoming the EA of movies XD

"The EA of movies" Oof. I can't help but find that sadly true.

Compare to another asswipe who tried to compare this movie to 9/11, I shit you not.
Your review is short but bitter sweet.

Now to debunk a few points. Firstly the the whole mama bear bit, The mother is practically what we call a Tiger parent, which is a parent that practicing tiger parenting, to which is a highly controversial parental practice that involves investing the perfection and success of their child and not let any outside influences either affecting them or become a bad influence to them. It exist is mostly Asian Heritage families like Mei's although not as common and for good reasons due the nature of such a parental practice is described as Harsh, Demanding and emotionally unsupportive to the child. The parents knowing about the Red Panda transformation is due to he fact it was explained by Mei's mother and implied that it was a Generation blessing to which it was then deemed as a "inconvenience." Mei turning into a Red Panda is a sign of her transitioning into full fledge woman. Funny enough this movie is a retelling of a director/writer through her teenage years but in a fictional setting.  This is story of a girl going through so many problems. And if you seen the ending it was explained that Mei's mother acted the way she did because of her mother, and her mother acted because of her mother--it is a Generational thing. All them have red Panda forms and Mei accepted her Panda form thanks to her Father, Jin, who talked to her about the relationship between her and her mother. Girls salivating over boy bands is also common, ever heard of Justin Beiber? Or what about N'sync, Backstreet boys, New Kids on the Block-- every woman wants a price them and the movie fully depicts the act of what most girls will do back in their teenage years. Sorry if I am sounding like I am defending this movie, to which I am and needless to say it's not that bad of the film, it's a bit cringing in some parts, but the movie is not THAT terrible.

Also the bit where Mei is getting "molested" at which part exactly? The bit where she revealed herself to her friends in her red panda form? The bit where they are trying to build up money to go see the boy band concert? I'm really confused...

Okay, I get what your saying... problem is, not many would be aware of these things or traditions. So, yeah. Still doesn't work. She lets random kids and strangers take photos of her and touch her. Uhm... personal space? I know it's to earn money for the concert but come on.

And 9/11? How does one translate to another? This takes place in Canada. Not America. But then again, that person's a dumbass so, lol.
