Episode 16: Love Letter From Tuxedo Mask Fox
In his hideout, Starwing was beginning his ritual to find his next target.
"Oh, Regulars, rulers of the southern skies. Oh, vast constellaion of Leo The Lion. Show me a weakness, something I can use against the sailor guardians," Starwing said. As a beam hit his forehead, he saw the past, where Sally Moon was saved by Tuxedo Mask Fox.
"So, Sally Moon has a weakness for Tuxedo Mask Fox? This will help me create the perfect trap and crush her," Starwing said. Later, Sally came home from school and checked her mailbox to see a love letter.
"No way. A love letter from Tuxedo Mask Fox," Sally said as she blushed. In her bedroom, Sally read the letter to Luna, which told her to meet him at the Knothole Mall tomorrow night.
"Well, that certainly nice and all, but why would Tuxedo Mask Fox send you a love letter? In fact, how did he know your address," Luna asked.
"You may be right. I never told him my mailing address," Sally said, as she put the letter to her face. "How does even know I am Sally Moon," Sally said, as she knew the fact that Sally Acorn and Sally Moon are the same person was to be kept secret.
"That could be it. We don't know if he's on our side," Luna said. However, the next morning, she saw her classmates, even Amy, got letters from Tuxedo Mask Fox.
"No way. You got letters from this guy as well," Sally said.
"You bet. I think this could be Sonic's way of inviting me on a date," Amy said.
"No way, he's a fox, so he could be Tails," Zooey said as Mrs. St. John came in.
"You girls should be careful. Chances are, that love letter you got could be a prank made by some joker to play with your hearts," Mrs. St John said.
"Or it could be all a trap," Sally thought to herself as class began. Later, Sally met with Nicole, who was at volleyball practice, as Luna joined in.
"So, you think Sally may be right with this love letter being a trap," Luna asked.
"I think so. We should visit Blaze and see what this is all about," Nicole said. At the arcade, Jeremy was chatting with Chuck while playing a crane game.
"So, Tuxedo Mask Fox has been sending love letters to these girls," Jeremy said as he saw the Tuxedo Mask Fox plush fall off the claw. (There were also plushies of Sally Moon, Nicole Mercury, and Blaze Mars mixed in with other anime characters. How they got plushies made of them without their knowledge is beyond anyone).
"From what I heard, every girl in town got one," Chuck said.
"Think it could be a new store advertising," Jeremy asked.
"Who knows what could be going on," Chuck said as Sally came in.
"Hey, Sally, glad you came," Chuck said.
"Thanks. I need to get my mind off this love letter thing," Sally said.
"Why, you never got one," Jeremy asked.
"No, I got one. But seeing as how every girl in my class has one, I think Mrs. St. John was right about it being a prank," Sally said. Later, Nicole visited Blaze, who was in bed.
"Oh, I am sorry you are sick. Sally went to the arcade to try and get her mind off that prank," Nicole said.
"Thanks. I woke up with a sore throat and a fever, so I won't be going out," Blaze said softly, she showed the lynx the letter she got.
"I see. Well, I will get you some ice," Nicole said. Later, at the Knothole Mall, Starwing was at the mall waiting.
"All is in place. Once Sally Moon comes here to see her precious Tuxedo Mask Fox, she will be elminated, and the other two guardians will be helpless without their leader," Starwing thought to himself. At the Acorn residence, Sally looked at the letter.
"If this is a trap, then I have to go and protect those girls," Sally said as she opened her closet. Getting dressed in a blue shirt with a matching black skirt, and using perfume and brushing her teeth, she headed to the mall. Meanwhile, Amy went inside, then she saw Tuxedo Mask Fox (but was really Starwing dressed as Tuxedo Mask Fox, complete with a fake fox tail and ears).
"You are here," Amy said.
"Who are you? You are not Sally Moon," Starwing said.
"What do you mean," Amy asked in shock when suddenly, she felt Starwing pointing at her, paralyzing her. Later, as Sally was going to the mall, she contacted Nicole about the situation.
"I was worried about you, Sally," Nicole said.
"I know. I am going to the mall to get the bottom of this prank," Sally said as Blaze heard and got up.
"Sally, if this is another scheme by whoever, we're coming," Blaze said, coughing.
"Blaze, are you okay? If you're sick, you should stay in bed," Sally said.
"Don't worry, I have something for this sort of deal. Just be careful until we get to your location," Blaze said with a weak smile.
"Okay," Sally said as she went into the mall, and saw Starwing draining Amy of her energy, which shocked her as she hid.
"I was right. This was a trap, and that's not Tuxedo Mask Fox, either. But I have to focus," Sally said as she transformed into Sally Moon. Meanwhile, Starwing held Amy as she was unconcious.
"Well, I may have sent too many letters. Maybe I should have just focused on squirrels and chipmunks," Starwing said.
"Get your hands off Amy," Sally Moon said as she was shown.
"What," Starwing said.
"How dare you dress up as Tuxedo Mask Fox to toy with a young girl's feelings. I am Sally Moon, and in the name of the moon, I'll punish you," Sally Moon said.
"So, you actually came. And you saw through my disguise," Tuxedo Mask Fox said.
"A girl can always recognize her true love," Sally Moon said as she kicked the hat off. After throwing Amy to the sailor-suited heroine, Starwing jumped up and removed his disguise.
"Wait a minute, you're that guy, Stanley Warwick," Sally Moon said.
"In reality, I am Starwing, one of the four generals of the Dark Kingdom," Starwing said.
"Starwing, eh," Sally Moon.
"I planned this to destroy you once and for all, Sally Moon, and I intend to carry it out," Starwing said as he used his powers to summon the constellation of Leo.
"Devoir this girl, Leo," Starwing said as he vanished. Soon, the constellation became a green lion youma as it chased Sally Moon. However, as the youma was about to pounce, a rose hit it in the head, as the real Tuxedo Mask Fox appeared.
"You," Starwing said.
"Did you really think I would let you get away with using my name on those phony love letters to draw out Sally Moon? Not a chance,," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as Sally Moon was amazed.
"Sally Moon, leave them to me. Get going," Tuxedo Mask Fox said.
"Right," Sally Moon said as she retreated.
"You are a fool if you think you can protect her," Starwing said.
"Why don't you come and fight me," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as he got his cane ready, but Sally Moon, seeing Leo about to pounce, used her tiara to knock him back.
"It didn't finish him," Sally Moon asked herself.
"Sally Moon, into the elevator," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as the two got in and escaped. But as it rose, Starwing's voice ringed on the speaker.
"You fools, you fell right into my trap. Once this elevator is on the top floor, the cable will snap, and you will plummet to your deaths," Starwing said. Sally Moon was scared, as Tuxedo Mask Fox looked around.
"Listen, we can get out of this," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as he used his cane to hit the top of the elevator as it was about to reach the top floor. The two got out and clinged onto the edge as it fell. As Sally Moon held on to Tuxedo Mask Fox's hands, she felt her grip fading.
"I don't know if I can hold on much longer," Sally Moon said.
"Don't worry, I can get us out of here," Tuxedo Mask Fox said.
"I will. But why do you always help me," Sally Moon said.
"I don't know. I guess when we first met, I have always felt the need to protect you," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as he got a foothold, motioning for Sally Moon to climb onto his back. Once the heroine was on, he climbed up.
"So, who are you under that mask," Sally Moon asked.
"I cannot tell. It may be strange to you, but I feel we had some kind of connection in the past. I can't remember," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as he loses his footing, and almost fell, when the door opened, and Nicole Mercury and Blaze Mars helped the two up.
"Sally Moon, are you okay," Nicole Mercury asked.
"I am," Sally Moon said. At the rooftop, Blaze Mars was coughing, as she had a mask over her mouth.
"Sorry about the long wait. I had to find something to cover my mouth so I won't get you and Nicole Mercury sick as well," Blaze Mars said.
"I know, and I should've asked for help as well," Sally Moon said.
"It's okay, Sally Moon. I was busy helping Blaze Mars recover. But what is important is that we get Amy to a hospital," Nicole Mercury said.
"Nice to see you three get along well. Until next time," Tuxedo Mask Fox said as he jumped off the rooftop, as the three looked on. Meanwhile, Starwing delivered the energy to Queen Ruby, as Nightrose was shocked.
"While I would punish Starwing for failing to kill Sally Moon, he has earned a reprieve since he managed to bring back this energy, which is incredible. Besides, you have a mission to locate the Silver Crystal," Queen Ruby said.
"Yes, I know," Nightrose said. While Sally Moon has escaped with her life, Starwing has managed to escape the punishment of Eternal Sleep, a fate worst than death.
