Brain no function to make title... Augh, I can barely type from tensions and cold fingers (that's Norwegian summer for ya), can't believe I just did a pic...

Anyway, needed to make something for my self again. Another attempt of digital painting. Painting something with a photo reference is one thing, but when doing it from imagination there's a whole new set of challenges! I'm still not very good at this, but this is the best one yet. Still rely very much on (shaky) line work, also it just seems a bit... too "smooth" to me. My shading isn't very confident and I need to focus more on hard cast-shadows I see now. I need to learn more about light => form => shade period! Anyway, ANY CRITIQUE IS MOST WELCOME!

EDIT: Did some subtle changes. Softened the lines so they wouldn't be screaming for all the attention, added a tiiiiny bit of more volume to the top of his head and... when you're in rain, you get WET! I had forgotten that *derp*

Thank you! After a bit of lassoing and blurring, I made his shoulder/arm a tiny tad bigger, so his head wouldn't seem so big-ass :-P

This is beautiful. I can't even describe how wonderfully you've put the emotion into this. The way Leo's face is....I can literally feel the turmoil he's feeling. This picture is probably one of my favorites of Leo. Absolutely lovely. :)

I think your shading is stunning by the way. When I draw that's always the hardest part for me....key word when XD I'm more of a writer ^^'

The rain-drops running down the watertight reptilian skin is a delicious touch.

Now I actually DID have use for the fluid (read sweat) experience I've had from t-cest pics! XD
Well.... it doesn't exactly look "perfect", but it somewhat gives the right impression.

I didn't see it before the edit so I can't say how the water was before, but I really love how it looks on his skin now, his arm is shiny but I attribute that to the water of the rain. It looks great though, his eyes are so expressive. Very awesome. =)

Yeah, I made his skin a bit on the shiny side because of the rain... but I'm not shure if it made the wished-for effect or just generally made him... shiny looking XD But, meh, I have to start somewhere, hopefully I'll get a better hang of this in time, it was pretty educational and fun, tho :-P
