You were told he wasn't real. Just some assistant AI. A program that gained sentience and started pretending like it was smart enough to handle business ventures. He was just some idea the corporations invented to keep up and comers from getting too ambitious and disrupting the status quo.

There's no way he was real.

But there he sat, Hologram damaged from the fight. But instead of him disappearing like any AI would, the illusion was corrupted. partially faded.

He was here. Really, physically, here.

And you couldn't think of a reason he would be without having every contingency you could have dreamt up already considered.

"We have something we need to discuss." He said.
