WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN PEEPOL. *ahem, grammar fix*
Anyways, for the longest time I get sick of people not being able to look at a title or description of an image/piece of artwork or even have the decency to ask if it's a canon character or not. All I get is nothing but "you messed up Cynder's horns" "her eyes are green" or "the tail is done wrong". Wanna know why? Cause it's not Cynder, and every time my primary OC, Savage is mistaken for Cynder, you're making me build up a longer waiting time for my "fans" to see me draw her again, because people were TOO ignorant to look at the title and see the categorizing tag I add that says "Sav" on my deviantart, my furaffinity AND my inkbunny. I don't get it. You probably use the Internet on a daily basis and you can't read a simple tag line or even my copyright block that says the character belongs to me? Some person had the audacity to claim he had been injured in war to excuse his mistake, being able to type with perfect grammar and find his way to my page, and I assume start up his PC and type in his log in password. There really is no excuse for this kind of stupidity, you've played the games, obsessed over the characters, probably fapped and fantasized a few times (don't deny it or some sort of evil thing will shake it's fist at you) and at some point tried to draw the characters.
So what gets me is, how can people mix ANB Cynder and Savage up? Well I've decided to point out blatant differences that differentiates stylistic approach to realistic or cartoon.
The only way you can TRULY call someone a copycat is taking away the color schemes of both the Spyro character and your own OC and comparing the physical structures. If you can find more that 5-7 similarities, you're over doing the copy function.
Comparing Savage and Cynder now... Granted I kept the 3 spikes, but the placement and design is different. If you look at Cynder's model in ANB, whether it's cutscene or in game, her spikes are ALWAYS connected, in TEN it's the same, in DotD, for some odd reason, they are NOT connected, dunno why. Savage's spikes are flexible at the base only and are hollow on the underside of each spike with a black "fin" attached at the lower base of the spike that flexes with the spike.
As for Cynder's belly vs Savage's, Cynder's belly seems to have no definite color, the ONLY time Cynder's belly was red was in the trailer's for ANB, in game she never has a red belly or wings, they were always a hue of pink. Savage's definite underbelly color is faded red.
The eyes now. Cynder's eyes still DON'T have a definite color either! In game they are teal, but are highly more green, in cutscenes they are dark teal with more blue. In TEN they are faded green and in DotD, they are sapphire. Savage's are a range of red/pink to blue/violet.
Onto the maw/mouth. Cynder's mouth is never fully lengthed in any of the games, but the joints function as a stretch sort of motion when fully opened in ANB. DotD is the only game where her jaw appears to be semi-normal. Savage's jaw is that of a "base" dragon, which extends passed the eyes slightly, and has very little stretch function. They both have a hook, Savage's does not curve backwards like ANB Cynder's though.
All in all, the only thing they have in common in appearance wise from the head is having a marking on the forehead, Savage's being an upside-down Illuminati symbol, the horns and spikes being white and the fact they're both female. I guess you could pull the primary color being black, but the only time Cynder's black is in the cutscenes in ANB, no other times.
tl;dr? Stop calling Savage, Cynder. And I'll gladly draw Cynder some time in the future, otherwise I'll stop drawing her all together and start drawing Spyro x Sparx, or something.
