Character Description

Tonric is a boy with sunkissed freckled skin and red hair, his Gaelean heritage is obvious but despite that much like Aster he had never met his parents before. He is often found wearing comfortable but functional clothing akin to overalls and boots.

Personality

Tonric is a hard-working boy and often puts more effort into helping his friends or whatever job he is working at. Driven by the desire for a good life the boy keeps working day to day with a smile on his face!

Oho a human! Tonric is Aster's childhood friend, living with him above the stables at the sleeping serpent in. He also works as a farmhand at a place just outside of the city. He is a hard-working boy that cares for his friends more than anything, he may not be the best fighter but he will do his best!

His chapters are special ones, a journey with your ride or die buddy who will have your back through it all. Weird lewd events and bits of adventure, but this story has the chance to a bit further than anyone else's. While Tonric has his own story, he wants to help Aster more than any other companion!

is Fragments gonna be a railroaded story with every choice bringing you closer to some kind of end or more loose where the choices loop back on themselves and you can explore as much as you want?

Depending on the chapter it will be a bit different- like the prologue allows you to go around the same few zones within the city and allows you to follow the chain of events for all 12 companions. Then at the 'town gate' you can elect to travel with any companion whose introduction you have finished. Also gonna stash a few bad ends in there too hehe...
Once the actual chapters are included, there will also be a thing in the menu before you start that lets you skip the prologue and go right to the chosen character for ease of access as I add more chapters ^^

Later chapters will be a bit more linear, your choices will lead you through a chain of events that may split off and sometimes reconnect. I want there to be multiple ways through chapters that may sometimes loop into major events for each one. But then some included side chapters you can only get to by exploring your choices and ending up there. I haven't been able to sit down and fully make a chapter in its own right though so I am experimenting with what is fun to toy with yet won't take longer than 2 weeks to write.

But in the end, each chapter will lead into the second one (Unless you hit a side chapter then you either game over or loop back into the one you left mwehehe)

The chapters will by far be longer than say, the interviews... I want them to be larger than each 'challenge' from Out of Reagents as well so they are still a fun read and don't just take a few minutes to complete. It all boils down to how much time I have to write and how much support I can get on Subscribestar, less I need to rely on commissions or other work then the more time I have to focus on the project itself ^^

I actually have a solution for all that :3 I basically will be releasing it in chapters as said, each character has their own individual chapter so there won't be variations on 'who' you go with. So there will be 12 versions of chapter 1 each stored in their own twine story that the first directly connects to- uh, reduce load xD So there won't be a shit load of 'If X is with you Y dialogue appears' luckily. It also lets me really change up the pace depending on the companion as some may coax you into other directions and chapters can revolve around their goals as well. After the first chapter, it can go lotsa different directions until looping back in >83c... But yes it is an insane writing task, is why I will be pacing my self out with slower releases so I can take the time to work xD
