Well even if you love somebody very very much, there's always a chance you will forget him or her, due to things out of your control, but having a scar from that someone then the change you will forget is almost or none because as soon as you see that scar again you will remember, especially when it's on a spot that's not easy to miss like your hands :P
Also, i wouldn't mind seeing her become Ms butcher :x he with his sword and she with her teeth would make a good quest combo
