There has been a trend among producers of a certain politically inconvenient genre of art where they will try to pass off obviously underaged characters, but will say in the description that the characters as not "depicted" or "intended" to be underage.

My take on that is if you do that, you're a coward. Either age them up properly, or own it. Don't insult our intelligence by trying to pass off that bullshit.

Question for you:  How would you draw a character who is simply very short as being an adult?

This is how I did a grown up Levi some years back. Levi is never going to get very tall, but his nose is longer, there is more definition to his body, his eyes are smaller compared to the rest of his face. There are ways to present a small character as being older.disgusted

Another example I can think of is Sethpup. He used to do a lot of cub art, but he stopped, and he made his main character a small, skinny, yet clearly an adult twink.

There is always going to be edge cases, which is one of the reasons why I'm against policing content like that, but this doesn't mean I can't be disgusted with people who exploit the fuzziness to pass off a clear falsehood to avoid negative consequences. I'm not even against cub art; I just want the artist to be honest about what they're doing.

Ah, okay.  I asked because one of my characters (Bryce Pedlar aka Buddy Bryce aka Bryce Pyro) tops out at five-zip, and another in a sci-fi RPG I'm in is on the tall side of average for his race at 2'9".

It's not just size; it's other characteristics, such as head-to-body ratio, the lack of secondary sex characteristics, slenderness, how big the eyes are, etc. There are subtle clues that differentiate a kid from a merely short person.
