Doom's explaining it in panel 3, actually. Lythe is likely Kwill's half-brother by his Noble father, Lord Typho. By the implications that he's pruded Typho got a Growlithe/Arcanine pregnant outside his marriage and the resulting offspring, Lythe, was born. He was then either taken away from or given to Typho by his mother and then Pruned and made a servant (I assume, unless Lythe's mom is around too). Not sure if this comic follows the games lore of all Bred pokemon are the same species as their mother, regardless of the father species.

I love the lighting and backgrounds, they look amazing! And aww, Kwill...It's nice that, even with the society he was brought up in, he still cares a lot about his brother. They're blood, no matter what. And that love he has for this brother is making it really curious about this 'sick sister' he has. I couldn't tell if he was angry at her or if he was just trying to make Typho upset.
