Here's the scene, as if it were being performed on stage:

Lights come up center stage, on a conference table. Center is a lawyer for the group. To his left is Stargazer, then Dipper. To his right, Les, then Birch. They discuss the pending lawsuit, and decide to offer an out of court settlement. Dipper tries to interject several times, but they tell him to stay out of it, he's still a kid. When they are about to finalize the decision, Dipper gets up, calls them cowards for giving in to a bully, and leaves, going to the unlit left stage apron.

Birch tells the lawyer to ignore Dipper, but Stargazer says, hold on, Dipper is right. If they give in on this case, that has no merit, just to prevent bad publicity, who is going to be next to sue them? What's to prevent them from releasing the story to the press anyway, in hopes of getting more money? He convinces Les that in the long run, they are better off fighting this, since there is no merit.

Birch, however, is worried what increased scrutiny of the group will find about him, especially his trips to Cincinnati. He tries to voice his concerns, and is basically told they can deal with it later. Birch feels totally ignored and leaves the meeting going to the unlit right stage apron.

Cue the music. The lights on the lawyer's office slowly dim, as the spotlight comes up on Dipper, stage left.

If someone stood up in a crowd
And raised his voice up way out loud
And waved his arm
And shook his leg
You'd notice him

If someone in a movie show
Yelled "Fire in the second row!
This whole place is a powder keg!"
You'd notice him

And even without clucking like a hen
Everyone gets noticed, now and then,
Unless, of course, that personage should be
Invisible, inconsequential me!

Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Should'a been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there!
I tell ya
Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Should'a been my name
Mister Cellophane
'cause you can look right through me
walk right by me
And never know I'm there

The spot fades on Dipper stage left, and rises on Birch stage right.

Suppose you were a little cat
Residin' in a person's flat
Who fed you fish and gave you soup?
You'd notice him

Suppose you knew a music bear
'Bout six feet tall with sandy hair
And formed the three into a group?
You'd notice him

A living bear is made of more than air
With all that bulk, you're bound to see him there
Unless that big old ursine next to you
Is unimpressive, undistinguished
You know who. . .

Cellophone
Mister Cellophane
Should'a been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there

spot remains on Birch and rises on Dipper

I tell ya
Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Should'a been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there
Never even know I'm there

Spots fade on both, and are out with the final note, leaving the stage dark.
