So this was my entry to a recent art contest, held by Yacht Club Games for their brand new game, Mina the Hollower. I really loved their previous game, Shovel Knight (AND all of its spin-off games too), so I got really excited when they announced their new project, Mina the Hollower :) They also held an art contest too, and I just HAD to participate :D And this is the picture I came up with.
Because they gave a pretty big freedom with this content, like you could come up with OCs, enemies, weapons, you could basically do whatever you'd just wanted, I decided to come up with a few teammates for Mina, thus the gun mage and the were rat were born :) I tried to be somewhat faithful to the game's art style too, so I went with very dark shadows, and I tried to include as many enemies from the references I just could :) Sadly, I could only made it to the “honourable mentions”, because there were a lot of amazing entries, but I had a ton of fun working on this picture, especially because the last time I could enter an art contest was ages ago :)
