With one last growth spurt, Cream soundly finds herself larger than the metal robot. It attacks, but with the help of Sonic and Shadow, the titan of a robot cannot keep up, and once Knuckles dislodges the Master Emerald, the robot loses all power and goes limp, like a doll in Cream's hands.
As Knuckles glides away with the emerald in tow, Sonic gives a two-fingered salute to Cream, while Shadow hunts down Eggman and gives him a thinly-veiled threat not to try anything like that again, lest he put innocent civilians in danger, in direct violation of his promise to Maria.
Down below, Vanilla and Amy share a celebratory hug...but something is off...
