A female Pikachu has a v-shaped "dent" at the end of its tail. Male Pikachu do not have this dent. However, both genders' tails resemble a lightning bolt, fitting their Electric typing.

Technically speaking, this pikachu shouldn't actually have that dent, seeing as Ash's pikachu is first gen, in which they didn't have said dents. Then again it also should be a male... but hey I have no complaints on that part.
