Even though January has passed, I still wanted to draw a frog. Even though I didn't get my OC idea picked, I still wanted to have it realized somehow. Let me just say it's not easy to get all the details of this frog pinned down. Finding out what the underside of it took me a while.
So here is what I came up with. The species of frog I went with here is called Anthony's poison arrow frog. Basically the frog that looks like it's made of strawberry jam. For hair design, I went with a fade haircut. It's hard to say how a hair style that leaves the ears exposed would look on a frog character so I had to use another drawing to reference that. Finally, another detail that isn't readily apparent by looking at the design is an absence of a tongue. However, there are a few scars on him that should give a basic story as to what happened. I haven't quite decided on other final details like age or height yet and I haven't decided on how "frog like" he'll appear for a final version.
