A shark decided to make a meal out of a lizard they saw diving around, but it managed to hide in a little hole they were too big to fit into. Frustrated, the shark reached in to try to grab the lizard, but they were too far in. Just before he gave up, though, he saw their bubbles leaving the hole, and had an idea. The lizard would have to come out eventually, they wouldn't just drown theirself in there. All the shark had to do was wait, and their meal would come to them.

It would take quite some willpower to stay put while drowning, but at least the shark would miss out on making a meal out of you.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: it was just a casual swim underwater for this lizard, they, they were just minding their own business when they accidentally bumped into a shark and they were seeking chase! So the lizard swam as fast as they could until they reached a small opening only they could fit into, they get inside it and cower in fear as they sit down on the bottom and hoped the shark would go away

L: The shark just barely misses grabbing the lizard as they dart into the opening. "Ugh, get back here!" Unable to fit in there, the shark reaches in and feels around for the lizard.

S: the lizard covers his nose and mouth as he backs away into a corner, not wanting the shark to get to him, and not wanting him to see his bubbles

L: "Such a pain..." The shark pauses to think... And it occurs to him that the lizard will eventually need to breathe. He lays down next to the hole with a smile, looking inside. "Well... You gotta breathe eventually~"

S: the lizard gulps in fear as he heard what the shark said, it was true unfortunately, they would need to breathe eventually, and he was already getting a very slight blue blush on his cheeks, he keeps his nose pinched and his mouth covered as he tries to hold on and not get eaten by this shark

L: The shark idly kicks his legs as he waits. "Mm... Can't wait for you to finally come out of there a desperate bubbling mess..."

S: the lizard whines as he keeps trying to hold his breath, hoping someone will come and rescue him from this predicament, his face turning more blue as very tiny bubbles escape him, he also hopes the shark will get bored and leave him alone

L: "Ah, good, you're still in there, those bubbles gave you away..."

Then, a different voice can be heard. "Wait, who's in there?" The lizard likely wouldn't be able to see, but a lapras overheard the shark, swimming over to see the hole.

S: the lizard heard the sound of the lapras and he hoped it was someone who can rescue him, trying to whimper loud enough so the lapras can hear him, letting out more bubbles as he's getting closer to his limit

L: Lapras: "I-is someone drowning in there!?"

Shark: "Don't worry about it, I was just about to let them go." Immediately knowing the shark's lying, the lapras pushes her head into the hole just enough to see the lizard.

Lapras: "Oh jeez! Don't worry, I'm gonna help!"

S: "H-hublrry!!" the lizard tries to hang in there, hoping the lapras will help him out soon as he keeps covering his mouth and nose

L: The lapras shoves the shark away from the hole, then reaches a flipper toward the lizard. "Hold onto me, I'll get you to the surface!"

Shark: "Ugh, just go away and let me do this!"

S: "Thblank yblou..." the lizard quickly goes over and holds onto the lapras' flipper with one hand as he uses the other one to cover his nose and mouth, he's very low on air

L: The lapras holds the lizard to her chest to make sure the shark can't get at them, and she bolts for the surface.

The shark follows, trying to figure out how to reach the lizard. "You'll have to let go at some point, and I'll be ready!"

S: the lizard whimpers as he holds onto the lapras for dear life, hoping she doesn't let go as his face turns purple

L: Thankfully, they get to the surface in time, and the lapras actually briefly jumps from the water with the lizard because of how fast she's going.

S: the lizard gasps for air heavily, still holding on tight to the lapras as he screams a bit from the jump

L: The lapras splashes back down, floating on her back so the lizard can rest on her belly. "We're really lucky I happened to come by... Are you okay?"

The shark is circling the two, frustrated but not saying anything.

S: "Hah...hah...hah...yeah, i-im fine...I'm still shooken up tho, but at least everything's ok... i-i don't want that shark to eat me..."

L: "Neither do I... I'm gonna get you back to shore, we can't have you in the water with that shark around. Just keep in mind though, he might try to follow you onto the shore. If he does, he won't be able to go far on land, I'm almost certain he can't breathe air."

S: "Well, o-ok...let's hurry then...before he does show up and chase me again"

L: After carefully turning over to get the lizard onto her back, the lapras swims back to shore with him. There's no sign of the shark as they go...

S: the lizard shakes with fear still, hoping the shark won't do some kind of sneak attack on them as they head for shore

L: As the two get closer... Suddenly, the shark jumps from the water, aiming straight for the lizard! "Come here!"

Lapras: "O-oh jeez!" She tries her best to dodge.

S: "Ahhhh!!!! It's the shark!!!" the lizard huddles closer to the lapras, hoping she will protect him

L: The shark ends up missing the lizard, but grabs onto the lapras' shell. He's got his cheeks puffed up, clearly holding his breath as he reaches for the lizard.

Lapras: "Hang on!" She flips herself about, trying to get the shark off her while hopefully keeping the lizard on her.

S: the lizard hangs on again for dear life as the laparas flips about, still hoping the shark will be unsuccessful

L: The shark struggles to stay on, but can't, and is launched back off! "Argh, no!" He splashes back underwater.

The lapras returns to just swimming, but now she's rushing. "O-okay, gotta hurry this up..."

S: "Go go go!!! Hurry!! That shark is mega fast!!"

L: Thankfully there aren't any more attacks by the shark, and the lapras gets to shore with the lizard. "Alright, it should be a lot safer here... But you should still get inland, I don't think he'll be giving up this easy."

S: "Right yeah...thanks for helping me out... ummm...sorry I don't know pokemon that well..."

L: "I'm a lapras. Hopefully if we meet again, it won't be with you being chased by a shark..."

S: "Heh, yeah...thanks again lapras" the lizard gives them a hug goodbye, smiling a bit

L: The lapras hugs him back. "Be careful out there, alright? Maybe give it a few days before coming back here."

S: "Sounds good to me, I'll make sure to stay far away until then, goodbye now..." after making sure the shark wasn't gonna get him, the lizard runs away further onto land, waving goodbye to lapras

L: The lapras waves back before diving away. Not long after that though... The shark comes out of the water, holding his breath again as he runs for the lizard! He's a little clumsy though, clearly not used to being on land.

S: the lizard looks behind and notices he's being chased again, but remembering what lapras said he tries to not think much of it as he keeps going

L: The shark continues after the lizard, glaring at them, but he's already blushing from needing to breathe. He doesn't seem to care about that, trying his best to gain on them.

S: "Man this shark won't give up!" the lizard keeps going, trying to get back to his home which isn't that far away

L: Over time, the shark gets a bit hesitant, looking around for any nearby water... But, not seeing any as his face goes red, he finally gives up, covering his mouth and starting to rush back toward the ocean.

S: "Ha, chicken" the lizard then makes it to his home and gets inside, safe and sound

L: The shark angrily looks back one last time, before whining a little from his need to breathe and continuing back to the shore.

S: "Phew..." the lizard is relieved that the shark gave up and now he's safe and sound in his home

L: Later that day, there's a knock at the door of the lizard's home.

S: "Huh? Who's that?" the lizard then curiously goes to the door and opens it

L: As soon as he starts opening the door, it's pushed open the rest of the way. The shark is back, with a fishbowl filled with water around his head and a smug grin on his face! "Well, fancy seeing you here~"

S: the lizard gasps
"AHHHHH!!!!!! Not you again!!!!!" the lizard slams the door shut and runs away to the back of his house, shivering in fear...how in the world is the shark back?? And how was he smart enough to wear a fishbowl on his head??

L: The shark somewhat awkwardly opens the door again, following the lizard inside. "You're lucky I can't eat you here without risking suffocating... Come here, we're going back to the ocean."

S: "N-no! Leave me alone!!!" the lizard backs up and runs to his bedroom, immediately getting inside locking the door so the shark can't get in
"Oh lapras, I need you now more then ever!"

L: The shark bangs on the door. "I've got a good few hours before this water's used up, we both know I'll find a way in before then!"

S: "No you won't!! Now go away!" Knowing the lapras probably won't hear him, he still tries to yell for help from a nearby window
"Lapras!!!!!! If you can hear me, HELP!!!!!!!!"

L: The bangs get louder as the shark starts trying to break through! "There's no way they'd get here in time even IF they somehow heard you! It's just you and me!"

S: "Ahhhh!!!!" the lizard saw the shark was breaking through, running to the closet to hide
"L-lapras...." he was starting to tear up, knowing he doesn't have much time left, he hoped the lapras did hear his cry for help and get here, but those chances were really slim, he would have to get extremely lucky for that to happen

L: But, the lapras doesn't come, and the shark soon gets through the door. "Now, where did you go..." Noticing that the window is closed, he starts searching the room.

S: the lizard covers his mouth to avoid saying anything or whimpering, not wanting the shark to find him

L: The search continues, and eventually the closet door is opened! "Ah, there you are!" The shark reaches in to grab the lizard!

S: "Ahhhh!!!!" the lizard squirms around and moves to the very back of the closet to avoid getting grabbed by the shark, as he notices a nearby heavy book he grabs it and gets ready to throw it at the shark if he absolutely has to

L: "Quit fighting, this'll be over before you know it if you just come with me..." He moves in, not noticing the book.

S: "NO!!!" the lizard chucks the book at the shark's fishbowl and because of how heavy it is, the fishbowl actually starts to shatter!

L: The shark stumbles back a bit. "Ugh, of course you're still being a pain... W-wait, what!?" He notices the cracks in the fishbowl, and quickly tries to cover them with his hands.

S: noticing he made the crack on the fishbowl, the lizard got an idea, he picks up several different objects and began to throw them at the fishbowl, and within moments the whole fishbowl shattered into pieces before the shark could react, the lizard immediately bolting free from the closet and running away, hoping it won't take long for the shark to retreat back to the ocean

L: The shark holds what little breath he managed to get, and he starts running through the house back toward the front door again, his confidence immediately gone.

S: "Hahaha!!! Who's confident now huh??" the lizard laughs a bit and makes a break outside, immediately swooping around to trick the shark and locks the front door so he can't get in once he got outside, knowing the shark won't have the energy to both hold his breath and take down the door with how red the shark's face is
"You might as well give up and breathe in! Or just retreat back! You ain't getting me!"

L: "Mm! MMM!" The shark angrily pounds on the door, before realizing he's risking suffocating at this point, and he bolts back toward the ocean again.

S: seeing the shark bolting away again made the lizard sigh of relief, knowing his quick thinking managed to save his life... he was a bit disappointed that lapras didn't hear him, but he sort of expected that to happen, he then was going back through his home to clean up the mess the shark made
