Those are Tamina´s parents James and Eva. I´ve wanted to create them for a long time. Mostly to flash out Tam´s backstory a bit more.
Back in the day Eva was kidnapped as a young teenager and later sold off on the slave market to a rich frog man on a different continent. She was suppose to be a gift to his son James as a personal maid and slave. But young James lucky was nothing like his cold hearted father and instead treated Eva as good and respectful as he could behind his fathers back. Both young frogs even ended up falling in love with each other. Spending some lovely hours with each other whenever they could. Once they found out their love had resulted in Eva getting pregnant, they had made up a plan to run away and start a new life somewhere else. But sadly James father found out about their relatioship before they could set their plan into motion. Enraged by the behavior of his son and his feelings toward a slave, he decided to sell Eva off to a far away slave mine. Hearthbroken over the lost of the love of his life and his future child, James took his of life soon after. Eva on the other hand decided to fight on for the life of her unborn child. Despite the horrible conditions and the hard work in the slave mine, she managed to go on until the very end of her pregnancy, giving birth to her daughter in a hidden corner of the mine. Sadly all the stress and hard work combined with the birth were finaly to much for the young frog girl and she died shortly after her baby cried for the very first time. Since a baby has no use in a slave mine the owners decided to sell it off on the slave market and with that Tamina´s own life as a slave begun. Luckily for the young girl, her story would end much better then her parents. Maybe thanks to their protecting hands guiding her from the afterlife.
