While working for this good friend of mine ( aka. insane person, as he prefers xD) , been doodling random RTED crap to stick to the theme of human arts n generally improve. But the 600-ish commissions I am blessed with also include some animation work and I realized I’m rusty on that stuff, I’ll def need to learn to use vector layers more cleverly and just generally level up on p a t i e n c e and p r e c i s i on .
So this terrible thing was born, cuz why start small?! The whole point was gonna be to fuck around with expressions which is what I adore about the whole movie’s style, but this was definitely not the best choice for angle. XDDD But learned a ton about my approach to animation with my caveman tools and did stick with it instead of abandoning so I’m glad. Might try to do more little projects like this again.
Wish it was commissioned lol It's a rare personal project where I tried to figure out some animating tricks and just generally push myself to do something long-term rather than give up. It was agonizing failure but the result is gold. 👌
