In her Bedroom Mary Ann Sterling was laying on her bed, looking up at the ceiling of her lavish bedroom, her cousin would be spending some time in Greystone and much as Mary liked her cousin, they didn't really see eye to eye on everything.
Mary's Cousin, Annie May Pewter was on her mom's side of Family, and they lived in the country, meaning that Annie grew up a farm girl, despite looking exactly like Mary but they did get along like most family, but their lives were the complete opposite of each other.
"Eee, Mary A" Annie said entering the room, running to the bed, pouncing to hug her cousin who was trailing muddy hooves along the floor.
"Annie, what has Father told you about washing your hooves before coming indoors" Mary said. Despite this she was happy to see her cousin, letting her cousin hug her. Annie similar to Daisy wore denim overalls, a dirty T-Shirt and a straw hat, chewing on a mouthful of seeds as she shook a small bag in front of Mary.
"Ugh, none for me" Mary replied, turning down the seeds as Annie spat them into a napkin, tucking the crumped napkin of seeds in her overalls pocket, looking at her cousin as Mary looked back.
"So how is it in Evergreen" Mary asked curious as to how Annie's home live was to which she went on about her daily routine, filled with farm chores, and childish behavior, building a tree fort, playing in the lake and her friends.
"Anyway, Ma and Pa thought me spending some time here would be good" Annie said as Mary was relieved that she came here and not the other way around. Annie's home was in the middle of nowhere and the only electricity was had was a TV which Annie's Dad always watched a kitchen and a corded phone, no phone signal and filled with farm work.
"Annie, I just had Conroy prep a guest room for you" Mary's Mother said peeking in the room as she smiled, thanking her Aunt Matilda who told the kids dinner was at 7:00. heading off leaving the two girls.
"How about you give Lil' Ol' Me a tour of your city" Annie said as Mary pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Greystone isn't a city, it's a town, if happens to be bigger than Evergreen but I guess we could do that, we have time" Mary said checking her phone as Annie looked at the screen, as all she had was a gold watch which belonged to her grandmother.
Eventually the two Lambs left Sterling Manor as Annie looked back in amazement, still in shock that Mary's house was so big and fancy, walking down the long driveway which led to the town of Greystone.
The Tour Included Big Willie's arcade which amazed Annie with all the flashing lights, Captain Cheesy's Pizza, Burger Castle, The 2/47 which Annie found impressive about all the restaurants.
"Oh, there's is the park, and my friends" Mary pointed as Annie rushed to the group to introduce herself as Mary's Cousin as Daisy looked at Annie, saying it was nice to meet another farm girl.
"You're cousins, because I swear you could pass off as Twins, or at least siblings" Todd Robinson commented as Annie blushed at the remark, Vicky interjected, saying it was nice to meet Annie May.
"You know Annie, I was planning on having a sleepover, Vicky will be there, if you want to join in" Daisy said, mentioning they would stay up and watch crappy horror movies and eating chips.
"I Don't know, Aunt Matilda said supper would be at 7, and I usually hit the sack around 8 or 9" Annie said as Vicky was honestly surprised, but Daisy was used to the farm life of going to bed early and getting up at sunrise to Which Vicky stated that Annie was gonna stay over and watch movies until 1 in the morning and wake up at 9 AM to strawberry pancakes.
"Well, I guess it would be rude to decline" Annie replied as Mary looked at her cousin saying that Annie did not have to do anything if she didn't want to which the lamb decided it could be fun. after dinner she would head to Daisy's house.
Later at The Feilds/Robinson house the two lambs entered as Annie introduced herself to the adult as the explained the whole Robinson family living with the Feilds which Annie found a bit confusing but did not dwindle in. Daisy was wearing pink pajamas, Vicky was wearing bright green pajamas along with Todd, Tinker with wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt with gloves and black shorts, introducing herself as Daisy's adopted sister.
"Come on Annie let's get in the bathroom in change" Mary said leading her on a tour through the house. The Two lambs made their way into the bathroom. Mary changed into a dark red nightgown and Annie wearing tan one-piece pajamas with buttons down the chest and a flap over her rear, which earned a glance from the kids but dismissed it, Daisy even saying she liked them as the group plopped on the twin's beds pushed together. Daisy walking to the TV in the room, small but effective, skimming over a shelf of DVDs.
"So, what'll it be tonight. 'Invasion of the Face-Stealers' of 'Blood Shack 4: Return of Beartrap' for the first show of the night as the girls and Todd decided on what to see as Annie looked at the Group, admitting she had never seen a horror movie before. Mary looked at Daisy saying that 'Face-Stealers' would be too intense for Annie and that they should start with something campy like 'Blood Shack' as Daisy put the disc in, turning off the lights as they sat on the beds.
The next 2 hours were followed with a masked bear ripping campers apart as Diasy handed Vicky the popcorn, shoveling a handful in her mouth. Annie clinging to the sheets, still uneasy but watching the movie, Mary holding her cousin if she got scared as she tapped Daisy on the shoulder.
"Um, may I use the toilet?" Annie said, not lasting 30 minutes and trying to hide the fact that she was uneasy around the movie as Daisy nodded, saying she didn't need permission as the lamb walked off the the bathroom.
She didn't have to go to the bathroom but needed to get away from the movie, overloading her sense. it was like nothing Annie May had ever seen, the image of Beartrap, pulling the guts out of the hiker clearly startled Annie as she sat on the side of the tub.
"Come on Annie May, you can do this, it's just a picture and these kids want to be your friend" the lamb said, approching the sink, turning the knob, splashing water on her face, to calm herself down as a knock was heard on the door.
"Annie May, you alright" The voice of the male fox asked as she opened the door seeing the boy in his green jammies, claiming she was fine as Todd could tell she was uncomfortable.
"You don't like scary movies, do you?" Todd asked, telling the lamb it was okay and he wasn't going to make fun of her for it as she simply nodded. Todd looked at her saying he would tell the group that Annie and Him would sit out, instead they went to Daisy's room to play a board game, turning on the lights.
"Wow, Daisy's room is nice" Annie said admiring the makeshift PC the bunny had as Todd walking to a stack of board games, saying she could pick as Annie picked one of the games, one that she was familiar with as she unfolded the board and organized the cards. each of them picked their pieces as Todd let Annie roll first.
The Black ewe rolled the dice in the cup, as they clattered on the board, she moved her piece as Todd did the same. the game went on as Annie was clearly beating Todd and it's not like he was letting her win. this Lamb knew how to play the game. Annie rolled the dice making her last movie.
"Woo" Annie said happy that she won as they reset the board, Annie winning 5 of the 7 games they played. the last game Todd rubbed his head, complimenting the lambs board game skills as she smiled, thanking Todd for spending time with her while the girls watched their movie as Todd checked the wall clock.
"The Movie will be over soon, let's put the game away and tidy up" Todd said as Annie helped him put the games back on the shelf and clean up Daisy's room. upon finishing the two left the bunny's room, looking like it was, turning off the light.
The two headed back to group, Vicky asking how Annie was doing, thinking that Blood Shack would be campy enough for the newcomer but in reality, Vicky and the girls were just desensitized to the films.
"How about Annie May picks the next movie" Todd suggested as Mary nodded, saying that was fair as the lamb looked through the DVDs. handing one to Daisy as the bunny looked at it. It was the First season of the cartoon from Japan 'Sugar Forrest Glitter Kitty' the magical girl cartoon Daisy often watched as she put it in. The anime wasn't horror based and the monsters were more played for laughs. the plot of the show was a cat in primary school who was also a magical girl type hero who usually fought the monster or villain of the week.
"Glitter Kitty is a satire of Japanese Magical Girl" Daisy explained that it poked fun at the tropes of the superhero and Magical girl genre as the girls watched the sparkly girl show which was filled with undertones and plenty of jokes most kids would not get.
Annie was seeming to like this show, but she thought the main heroine's outfit was a bit revealing for a girl their age. which would explain the awkwardness of some of the jokes which went right over Annie's head.
After finishing the first season it was eventually Bedtime as the Twins slept in their room, Daisy in Tinker slept in the second room. Daisy pulled out some sleeping bags from under her bed for when they had sleepovers, handing them to the lambs as Mary crawled into her warm sleeping bag, Annie doing the same.
"I had fun Mary Ann, I mean that" Annie May said as Mary nodded, as she looked at her cousin, asking if she could just call her Mary to which Annie chuckled.
"It's part of your name dummy, that be like me dropping the May out of my name, I'm Annie May Pewter and proud of it" Annie said as Mary reflected on the comment. the bunnies were asleep as Mary Ann and Annie May looked up at the ceiling, Annie asking what time it was as Mary checked her phone.
"2:30" Mary replied as Annie was surprised, she got to stay up all night watching bright cartoons, clearly enjoying herself.
"Good night, or good morning" Annie said, closing her eyes.
