The ZX Spectrum. It's a computer so thoroughly British that even its American counterpart, the Timex-Sinclair 2068, escapes Byron's understanding. He doesn't get why he can't run games from a smartphone, even though there's an app designed to do that. He can't fathom what that blue thing with the hollow eyes and rattail is supposed to be. He can't even comprehend why he's so much larger than everything else in the picture! (Hint: because the artist sucks at perspective.)

This picture guest stars Zee-Zee, Gemma, and Feef, who are all well known on that other furry art site, but not so much here. You can probably guess why.

It was unfair that I left you out of the original picture. I was hoping for discussion from Gen-X UK residents who grew up with the Spectrum, and you were one of the first to ring in on Twitter. Besides, the early version of this picture had an unpleasantly flat background, and your puppy character helped me fill in the blanks (while taking a swipe at a game developer despised both here in the United States and abroad).
