My second main furry character Tori Taxel was chosen to be a tiger because that was my Chinese zodiac sign, being of Chinese descent myself, so for the Year of the Tiger in 2022 I originally planned to have this picture drawn by the new year day itself (1 February). The incessant research into Zarankiewicz's problem needed for my final-year project pushed it back about two weeks – the pattern on Tori's red packet is taken from the logo of my Kyoto repository collecting results on said problem. Anyway, happy Chinese New Year!
