Species
A rather extensive amount of different species. Primarily fennec and red fox, with strong lines of african wild dog, lion, and wolf
Character Description
Shujaa is tall and lean, spry on his feet. He has many distinct fox features, but his most notable feature is his coloration, unlike that of any other, bearing the distinct pattern that is common among the descendants of Shomari.
He is stronger than many would believe for his thin frame, another common feature of the descendants of Shomari.
Personality
He is quite friendly and outgoing, with a definite prankster side that is almost always brought out when he is around Araz. He is notably loyal, and takes his role as a knight protector very seriously, in spite of his seemingly laid back nature.
Likes/Dislikes
Shujaa loves a good sparring session, being physically active, and competitions. The best thing is when there is alcohol served at the end of any of these sessions. He loves playing small, mostly harmless pranks.
Shujaa dislikes long meetings, classrooms, lectures, and being inside for long amounts of time. His absolute most hated time was when he was assigned to protect one of the daughters of the queen while the daughter went to an Abbey, a place where there was absolutely no alcohol.
Background/History
Shujaa was raised in the courts of the Vulpina Conglomerate until moving back to Amani when he was 7. He is the great, great grandson of the Chimera, the warlord Shomari, and the first queen of Amani, Esther of Shajarat. However, his line was descended from from Esther's 3rd son, and was further descended from line of the throne. He is a fifth son of a fifth son, making it so he had very little claim to the throne, and only a minor title of nobility.
It was always thought that he would enter the military of Amani, and began training when he was 5. By the age of 13, he was taken into the Order of the Protectors Royal, a branch of the Royal Guard that was focused on being the immediate body guards of the royalty, taken under the wing of the Commander, Aryn Kahdim III. He was further trained by the former gladiator and prize fighter, Dragan.
When he moved back to Amani, Shujaa met a young raccoon girl named Araz. The two quickly bonded, and were always getting into trouble together. It was little secret that if you found the one, you would find the other, and if one was missing, the other was sure to follow. This caused no end of berating from Shujaa's teachers and instructors, as he tried to shirk classes to spend time with his friend. However, not long after Shujaa had joined the Royal Protectors, the pair was split up, Araz being taken back to her ancestral home to be trained in the way of the moon, as an assassin and spy.
Shujaa quickly turned to his training to help him focus away from the pain of his friend moving away, and it didn't take long for the boy to start to excel, quickly standing out among the recruits and squires of the order. At his 17th birthday, he was officially brought into the protectors, and at 21, he was able to obtain a knighthood in the order.
After his knighting ceremony, at a celebratory feast honoring him as a knight and the induction of the members of the protectors, Shujaa noticed a beautiful raccoon in the court. He quietly pursued the beautiful lady as she moved through the court, and after some time, was able to catch up to her. It happened to be his dear friend, Araz, finally returned from her training. The two quickly embraced, and spent the rest of the night catching up. It was noted by many that it was the happiest that they had scene the new knight.
As the night went on, Shujaa found him falling for his childhood friend. He'd always adored her, but now, he found her irresistible. It didn't take long for the two of them to make their way away from the party, and before long, their affection began to bloom into something more...
Relatives/Family
Shujaa's father passed away when he was 7, which lead to his mother moving back to Amani. His mother passed away when he was 16, leaving him firmly in the care of Aryn, who he considers an uncle.

Body
Shujaa's most notable feature is his dark fur, with lighter patches on his face, nape, upper chest, feet, and hands. He has bright yellow eyes, and dark black patches that accentuate his eyes and muzzle.
Clothing
Shujaa wears mostly royal Amani colors, blacks, reds, and golds. He often eschews a lot of the armor for his lower body, liking having more mobility. His armor is a shirt of chainmail, atop which is worn a leather covered brigandine and leather covered plate spaulders and buzubands.
Accessories
Shujaa's most prized possession is his knight's sword, which he is never far from. He also wears a small dagger that he was gifted by his father before his father's death
