The first custom creature I revamped-- previous known as the "Flaracc"
--DATABANK--
A massive serpent like leviathan inhabiting in giant lava lakes, nearly as large as the Arctic Spires' Ice Worms.
Skin:
Their skin compost of highly fire-resistant materials, both inside and outside. This allow them to survive literally inside molten lava. This is rare among lifeforms that are not native to the Nether Realm. Between the fins are
also rock-like armour plating that reduces in size as it trails towards the tail.
Spitting fire:
Similar to the Empress Phoenix, Mantle Worms can breathe fires at will, except it is more widespread but somewhat weaker. But worse, it can shoot explosive magma balls at any directions over a long distance.
Fin:
No non-aquatic faunas discovered so far has fins. It's believed the fins are used to help Mantle Worms to maneuver within lava, although it is unclear how the fins overcomes the plastic-like semi-liquid magma.
Antenna:
3 antenna lies behind the maw and in front of the fins. While their primary purpose is to detect nearby preys, they might as well fools preys into thinking it is a harmless creature in the lava, while the actual worm itself lies just
beneath the lava surface.
Behavior:
The Mantle Worm resides in large body of lava lakes. Normally they appears in molten caverns, they are also abundant in the Inferno Meadows. They uses the orbs on their 3 antennas to sense for potential preys. Despite their gigantic size, they are prey to the Empress Phoenix. Their magma balls attack is likely their
developed counter to deter the phoenix, even though it's ultimately ineffective.
Motivational note: Don't waste your time to deflect the balls, you WILL die.
Assessment: Aggressive and lethal - venture molten landscapes with cautious
