Despite their earlier scrape, it's not long before Gawain takes a shine to Sonic. His brightness, enthusiasm, and friendly demeanor are enough to put most at ease. And even better, the blue-furred mammal is fond of barefooting, much like himself, so when he requests the knights try to do so as much as possible for his short stay, he's more than eager to do so. It isn't long before the two are out traveling the dusty road, but not on a mission. Rather just an errand run, and along the way, Sonic is eager to tell him about his myriad of adventures... it sounds almost impossible. Machinery of metal and wire, eldritch beings that put even dragons and Merlina to shame... yet the sparkle of reminiscence and excitement in his eyes sells it. Truly, this young king-who-would-not-be-king has a rich history of adventure despite his young age... It's fascinating and... alluring. Normally a knight would be forbidden to lie with his king, and yet... he knows it's a matter of time before one of them makes a move before he departs for his own world. Until then, he's happy to get to know this odd yet benevolent and handsome stranger. |
