A baby apatosaurus named Littlefoot was born in Tompkins County this week.
Littlefoot wanted to be friends with a triceratops named Cera but he was told that "our species don't play with those different from us".
So Littlefoot asked his daddy, "Will my triceratops mommy play with me?"
And his daddy said, "No, Cera is very proud of her own species, she doesn't want to play with anyone who is different from her".
But Cera and Littlefoot played together anyway which really upset Cera.
Suddenly the duo were attacked by a sharptooth, who beat up Littlefoot but spared his mother because she reminded him of his dead
Littlefoot saved Littlefoot and told him that "I am a little different"
Sad and alone, Littlefoot met a swimming dinosaur named Ducky, who tried to help Littlefoot.
And while Littlefoot thought Ducky and Cera were nice creatures, Cera was only "nice" to make Ducky jealous.
That was when they met a small dinosaur named Petrie, who had also been beaten by a sharptooth.
Petrie was very scared because his mother had been killed by a sharptooth, which meant he couldn't be released into the wild.
Ducky found an egg which contained a stegosaurus named spike and Petrie's mother's voice gave them advice.
In a fit of anger, Littlefoot's mother told him that "I guess the triceratops and the triceratopses and the tyrannosaurus rex and the velociraptors don't want to play with different from us".
After that, Littlefoot learned to appreciate his triceratops family, and when he learned to play with them and he was adopted by Cera.
That was when sharptooth showed up wanting to eat them up! But the kids came up with a plan to kill sharptooth.
The plan was successful, until the dinosaur hunter escaped.
Then the kids wanted to get revenge.
They swam to a lake, where they reached the Great Valley, which was full of dinosaur refugees and home to a tyrannosaurus.
Ducky and Petrie wanted to be with Littlefoot, Littlefoot wanted to join the army, Littlefoot wanted to be a paleontologist
