A brilliant flash of light reflected off of Gordon's pale skin as he and Pink cleared out another group of enemies. the vast desert gave way to an old alien facility. Pink bounced with an infectious energy, his wide smile and unending stream of giggles proved too much for Gordon, whose eyes were on his friend just as much as the screen in front of them. He was smiling too of course, a small gentle smile, reserved and content. He could almost feel the fond memory forming in his head, something he could look back on when he got older and smile about, it was a warm feeling.

The master chief leapt through the air, sailing high above the alien under Gordon's control. Blue blood splattered across the wall as body after body fell. Narrow corridors of grey metal and wire transformed into vast rooms of metal and glass. All the while a robot flew before them, guiding them through the level. Gordon almost couldn't believe how much fun he was having with the game, first person shooters weren't normally his forte, but he was a natural at Halo. He felt an elbow nudge against his arm,

"Oh dude! This level is the best one in the whole game!" Pink said with his characteristic excitement

A great gate opened into a sea of tanks and dunes of sand and steel.

"Is this that boss fight you mentioned earlier?" Gordon replied, but the game answered for him. He watched in awe as a behemoth emerged from the horizon, "oh"
